From the Kitchen: Making Apple Sauce

Fall is in the air and apples abound! Children are thrilled to be making their own apple sauce using roasted apples (sometimes pears) with a masher then topping off with grated cinnamon. Along with their favorite cheddar cheese cubing work, this new food preparation work is not only delicious but a bit more challenging with more steps for our young chefs to remember and execute. Pro tip: here are some of our favorite kitchen gadgets, a child sized masher and a ceramic grater that keeps little hands safe while grating cinnamon sticks.
