2012-2013 Annual Fund
The MMS Annual Fund raised nearly $330,000, surpassing last year’s total by about $60,000. Head of School Brenda Mizel thanked the parent volunteers who reached out personally to the community, and the donors who supported the school.
“This is an excellent result,” she said. “Your gifts help us to develop innovative ways of teaching and working with families as we plan for the future of the school.”
Proceeds from Annual Fund become part of the school’s reserves, and will be used to:
- Create and equip learning spaces to optimize our facilities
- Develop new approaches to teaching, such as the literacy program introduced this year and the review of the math curriculum
- Support financial aid, which helps to maintain the school’s diversity
- Offset a portion of the school’s operating expenses in order to limit tuition increases
A donor recognition report will be published in the fall.
